Yao Ming Napa Valley Sparkling Wine 2017

Elegant soft gold color.  The nose is complex and shows layers of citrus, tree fruits and tropical notes. Aromas lead with lemon drop, green apple. There is a floral note of fresh Jasmine with papaya core. The texture is crisp with delightful acidity and captures the texture of Pinot Noir. The bubble mousse is exotic on the pallet. The Napa Valley Sparkling Brut Wine is drinkable now and will drink nicely for 5+ years. This wine shows classic Napa Valley providence from the cold-climate heart of Carneros in Southern Napa Valley.

Vineyard Notes

This wine is grown in Carneros. We hand tend all vines in each individual vineyard block. Napa Valley has more diversity in soil composition than all of France.

Winemaking

All of our fruit is hand sorted and whole cluster pressed. The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is tank fermented and does not undergo ML fermentation.  Once the base wines are assembled, we age on-tirage for 24 months.
