Yao Family Wines is proud to release our inaugural bottling of our second appellation specific wine, the 2017 Yao Ming Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. 100% Rutherford AVA fruit, aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak, this elegant and balanced wine is drinkable now but will age beautifully for another two decades.

Yao Family Wines is proud to present our second bottling of our only sub-appellated wine, the 2016 YAO MING Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. 100% Howell Mountain fruit, aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak, this powerful but balanced wine is drinkable now but will age beautifully for another two decades.

Appearance exhibits a deep ruby garnet hue. Aromas are layered with berry and flavors of cherry, cassis and violet. There is a core minerality with lavender tones. The oak is well integrated and has nice toasty aromas with hints of vanilla and wild sage. On the palate the wine is lush and firm but also has mature long tannins and supple texture. 

The perfect combination of our flagship wines together!  Our award winning Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and our clean and crisp Napa Crest Sauvignon Blanc. 

Elegant soft gold color.  The nose is complex and shows layers of citrus, tree fruits and tropical notes. Aromas lead with lemon drop, green apple. There is a floral note of fresh Jasmine with papaya core. The texture is crisp with delightful acidity and captures the texture of Pinot Noir.
